A NEW HOME...

For more than 32 years, Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, Inc. (Hospice of NCO) has been providing quality end-of-life care at no expense to the patient, while supporting their families and others in the community who are experiencing grief.

Two decades ago, Hospice of NCO was bequeathed major funds earmarked for the purchase of a facility for expansion of services.  In November 2011, when Hospice of NCO out grew the rented office space and the warehouses currently housing it's operations, the Board of Directors voted to use the proceeds from these carefully invested funds to purchase the Assembly of God church for $1,050,000.

In April of 2012, Hospice of NCO began to raise $2.7 million through the "Gift of Caring" Capital Campaign, to renovate the church building into a space designed for the work of hospice.  Funds from the campaign covered construction costs, as well as furnishings for the building and long-term maintenance to protect this investment for decades to come.

In November of 2014 the dream of a new home was realized and Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, Inc. moved all of it's operations into a beautifully renovated building, debt free.  Within it's walls there is space to hold all our operations, including a large, well designed warehouse to store our large inventory of medical equipment, quiet counseling rooms, a volunteer workroom, a large, quiet and efficient nursing wing, a team conference room designed for the work of the hospice interdisciplinary team, work room for the Raindrops bereavement program, and a suite of offices with a conference/board room, for the administrative team.  In addition there is a large auditorium, the Carolyn Renfro Event Center, providing space for the Hospice of NCO's  educational offerings as well as space for the community, individuals or businesses, to use for conferences, family reunions and other "Celebrations of Life".  Located in close proximity are two meetings rooms and a lovely chapel containing stain-glass salvaged from the original church building.

Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, Inc. is very fortunate to be located in north central Oklahoma where the community understands and supports the important work done by this organization.  On behalf of the Board of Directors and the staff, I thank those who gave of their time and money to provide a place where the staff and volunteers providing care to the terminally-ill have adequate, quiet, efficient space.  Thank you for joining us in our mission.

Warmly,
Marta Sullivan, C.E.O.
