Community Memorial Service Well Received By Many
December 11, 2010 2:00 PM
Woodlands Christian Church, 14th & Hartford, Ponca City, OK
The focal point of the service is the lighting of votive candles, one available for each family that comes desiring to participate and have their loved one’s name read aloud. Surrounding this moment are inspiring words and music, to help the assembly come together in our grieving and provide inspiration. The invitation was open to anyone in north central Oklahoma who has a loved one to be remembered. We want to encourage people to come and participate, whether or not your loved one was connected to hospice.
The Community Memorial Service was well attended with approximately 100 attending the special event. Music provided by the Ponca City Christian Academy Chorle and staff members and volunteers assisted with the service. All of the "Memory Quilts" were on display as well.
